About this Fence

This modern/contemporary horizontal board fence style was built with ironwood lumber (also known as ipe) and a healthy dose of elbow grease. The fence has 4″x4″ posts, 1″x6″ and 1″x3″ horizontal boards and varies from 4′ to 9′ in height. This fence was built with a dual swing automatic driveway gate and one walk gate with contemporary hinges. (cost to build this fence in ipe to match main picture ranges between $70-$85/foot)
