How a Love of Building Led to 15 Years of Fencing Excellence
Every business has a beginning. Ours started with a simple realization: the fencing industry needed more expertise, better service, and a genuine commitment to helping customers succeed.
The Foundation
Fence Workshop was founded by a family of Georgia Tech and Georgia State University graduates who brought something unusual to the fencing world—formal education in Architecture, Real Estate Development, Building Construction, and Urban Planning. While many fence companies learn exclusively through field experience, we combined academic knowledge with hands-on expertise to create something different.
We understood fencing not just as a product to install, but as an architectural element that affects property value, security, aesthetics, and functionality. That perspective changed everything.
The Early Years
We started small, focusing on Metro Atlanta residential installations. Those early projects taught us invaluable lessons: every property is unique, every customer has different needs, and the difference between a good fence and a great fence often comes down to the details.
We learned that homeowners were frustrated with big-box stores that sold them incomplete kits or wrong materials. Contractors were tired of suppliers who didn’t understand the realities of installation. We saw an opportunity to do better.
Growing Beyond Installation
As our reputation grew, so did our business. Customers started asking if they could buy materials directly from us for their own DIY projects. Contractors wanted to source from a supplier who actually understood fencing systems.
That’s when we expanded into nationwide material sales. We partnered with USA-based manufacturers who shared our commitment to quality, and we built a catalog of aluminum, chain link, and vinyl fencing products that we could confidently stand behind.
Unlike typical online retailers, we didn’t just list products and hope customers figured it out. We provided hands-on consultation—walking DIYers through every component they’d need and helping contractors specify the right materials for complex projects.
Expanding Our Reach
Over 15 years, our installation services have grown to cover the Southeast United States. We still handle residential projects throughout Metro Atlanta with the same care we always have, but we’ve also taken on larger commercial and industrial projects across Georgia and beyond.
Each project—whether it’s a 50-foot backyard fence or a multi-acre commercial perimeter—receives the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that built our reputation.
